Shearwater

This residential project is located in the Urban Village of James Bay. The site previously held 36 older units in need of replacement.

We took inspiration from urban courtyards across North America and Europe. Being local and walking the neighbourhood ourselves led us to an understanding of the pedestrian-focused area. We aim to enhance that pedestrian experience, with rhythmic townhouses forming a defined street edge.
